Protecting Michigan's Natural Heritage
Greenwood Foundation is located in Nunda Township, near Interstate 75 about 20 miles Northeast of Gaylord. The Greenwood Foundation has more than 2000 acres of beautiful woodlands, wetlands, and lakes, with more than two miles on the Little Pigeon River.
Greenwood has a great variety of animals. Bird species are abundant, including many migratory song birds, eagles, hawks, owls, Trumpeter swans, Sandhill cranes and geese. In the forested and wetland areas you can find mammals such as the otter, beaver, black bear, raccoon, deer, elk and various fish species.
